The stay during the summer is dominated by the domestic ones. This follows from the data of the Pelikán travel agency. The most popular Slovak destination is currently Demänovská dolina, followed by Bešeňová and Tatranská Lomnica in close proximity.
The top ten most popular stays were dominated by domestic stays, the only exception being Spanish Mallorca - it has traditionally become the most popular summer destination for Slovaks.
Last minute offers do not only apply to European destinations, but also to travelers who prefer a domestic holiday - stays in Slovakia start with a price tag lower than 100 euros.
In cooperation with the Pelikán travel agency, we select five tips for Slovak stays, the price list of which starts at approximately 70 euros per person.
Grandhotel Prague, High Tatras
A legendary hotel that completes the colors of Tatranská Lomnica. Grandhotel Praha was built in the Art Nouveau style in 1905 with the original name Hotel Palace. In 1919, the present one came to him.
At the beginning of the 20th century, Tatranská Lomnica was one of the most interesting places in the Slovak countryside, where the European aristocracy met. Grandhotel Praha is a great choice for a family vacation or a romantic stay for a couple.
Visitors can enjoy the long tradition of healing spas in the first-class wellness center, which also offers massages and treatments with traditional Tatra herbs. It is the only one to operate an outdoor pool with breathtaking views of our mountains. In winter, tourists are attracted by skiing in one of our most visited ski resorts.
A stay at the Grandhotel Praha can currently be booked from less than 260 euros in a special offer for four nights for the price of three. The price includes half board and also a three-hour entry to the wellness daily or a one-time two-way ticket for export by cable car for each day of stay.
Holiday Village Tatralandia, Liptov
It is an interesting holiday complex that combines fun, adventure and relaxation. Also thanks to the fact that Holiday Village is located just a few steps from the largest aqua park in Slovakia.
Most holidaymakers will also appreciate the increased privacy in separate cottages and apartments. From the outside, they look mundane, but inside, guests will find relatively rich facilities.
Visitors can also use their outdoor fireplaces and fireplaces for barbecue, tennis courts and a basketball court or children's corner without restriction. Board games are available at reception, and families with children should enjoy booking a bowling alley.
A stay in Holiday Village Tatralandia with accommodation in cottages is currently available to holidaymakers from less than 170 euros per person for four nights. The price includes meals in the form of a buffet breakfast, parking and unlimited access to the Tatralandia Aquapark - however, this service depends mainly on the current regulation.
Hotel Srdiečko, Low Tatras
On the south side of Chopok there is a three-star hotel Srdiečko, which visitors liked thanks to its direct access to the mountain cable car. During winter and summer, the hotel becomes a starting point for many hiking trails in the Low Tatras.
Unlike other hotels and buildings in the Tatras, Srdiečko underwent a really functional reconstruction, which fortunately preserved its atmosphere of a mountain hotel, in which you can still smell the scent of fresh wood. At the same time, it made its environment more pleasant and cozy for the benefit of accommodated and non-accommodated guests.
The wellness center of the Srdiečko hotel is also available to holidaymakers included in the price of accommodation. It also offers a natural interior with two hot tubs, three types of saunas and a wide range of massages.
Visitors should not miss the pride of the hotel - Ski Lounge bar overlooking Chopok, where after a good lunch they can enjoy dessert or excellent coffee.
Holidaymakers can currently find a stay in Hotel Srdiečko for two nights from less than 70 euros per person in September. The price includes breakfast and access to the wellness center with outdoor hot tub, saunas and a relaxation room.
Grand Jasná, Low Tatras
Accommodation directly on the slopes of the largest and most popular ski resort in Slovakia is offered, for example, by the four-star Hotel Grand Jasná, which ranks among the top Slovak kids friendly hotels. Children can have fun in the play area, where there are many toys, board games or sports activities.
Relax is available in the wellness center with several pools, a sauna world or an outdoor hot tub overlooking Chopok.
Holidays in Grand Jasná for four nights for the price of three with accommodation in a DeLuxe room can be enjoyed by holidaymakers from less than 230 euros. The price includes access to the wellness center for three hours a day, half board and a one-time cable car ticket.
